July 09 Today we drove out to Eagle River. We drove over 220 miles and it took us over 5 hours. We need to return the RV's tomorrow so we want to be close to Anchorage. We're camping at the Eagle River Campground for $15 per nite. When we left Denali this morning, it was still overcast so we were not able to see Mt. McKinley. I saw 2 bears in a creek, but we passed so fast, I wasn't able to get Papa Rudy to see them.We saw a moose on a hillside, that was pretty cool.
When we got to Eagle River, the sun was shining. We were able to sit outside, grill some food, and light a campfire. Randy them went fishing, but still, no luck.

Great price for RV park was hookups or dry camp??
ReplyDeleteNo mind ask what rental is over there?? I rented in San Fran w Cruise America 30' for $700 week back in 2006 so must be more?? My sister n brother live there I may get them to come w me..... Smores.............. yummms
